• In humid coastal areas NEO Gloss Acrylic is ideal for recoating exterior wood finishes. Due to its good water permeability no blistering will take place.

Application Details
• Mixing | Always stir well before use with a flat paddle. |

Surface Preparation
• Mild Steel (Renovation) | • Affected areas need to be cleaned back to bright metal and spot primed with NEO Corroguard (cg00). • Old, weathered galvanised metal requires no pre-treatment inland but at the coast NEO Corroguard (cg00) should be applied. • Sand existing coating. • With brush or roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic (airless NOT high pressure spray can be used for large areas if required). • Allow to dry overnight before recoating. • Apply a second generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic. |
• Mild Steel (New) | • Degrease surfaces with NEO Metal Conditioner (mc00) to remove the manufacturer’s grease protective layer. This process is repeated until the surface is water break free. • After drying, the whole substrate is coated with NEO Corroguard (cg00) (it is absolutely essential to firstly apply one coat of NEO Corroguard (cg00). Acrylic based paints should never come into direct contact with mild steel). • Apply one coat of NEO Universal Undercoat (wu00). • With brush or roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic (airless NOT high pressure spray can be used for large areas if required). • Allow to dry overnight before recoating. • Apply a second generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic. |
• Uncoated Concrete Surfaces • Raw / New Plaster • Precast |
• Make sure surface is dry and firm. • Remove all dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth. • Fill and seal all visible cracks with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07). • Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07). • Sand well and remove dust. • Prime with NEO Acrylic Wall Primer (ap00). • With brush or roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic (airless NOT high pressure spray can be used for large areas if required). • Allow to dry overnight before recoating. • Apply a second generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic. |
• Uncoated, Weathered or New Fibre Cement Surfaces | • Remove dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth. • If friable or powdery, seal with NEO Acrylic Wall Primer (ap00). • With brush or roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic (airless NOT high pressure spray can be used for large areas if required). • Allow to dry overnight before recoating. • Apply a second generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic. |
• Previously Painted Surfaces • Precast |
• Surface must be in a sound condition. • Existing gloss finishes should be well sanded. • Remove all loose, flaking and bubbling paint. • Remove all dust, foreign material, fungal and algae growth. • Allow to dry. • Fill and seal all visible cracks with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07). • Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07). • With brush or roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic (airless NOT high pressure spray can be used for large areas if required). • Allow to dry overnight before recoating. • Apply a second generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic. |
• Wooden Surfaces and Chipboard | • Use NEO Repair Paste (nrp07) for filling holes, cracks and unevenness on wood. • Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Repair Paste (nrp07). |
• Hard Board | • For interior use, an oil based prime coat is recommended. • Apply one coat of NEO Universal Undercoat (wu00)onto the wood or chipboard. • For exterior use NEO Pink Primer (pi00) is recommended. • With brush or roller, apply a generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic (airless NOT high pressure spray can be used for large areas if required). • Allow to dry overnight before recoating. • Apply a second generous coat of NEO Gloss Acrylic. |

• Make sure old paint coatings are firm and solid. • Remove all loose, flaking and bubbling paint. • Remove all dust, grease, foreign material, fungal and algae growth. • Sand glossy coatings until reasonably matt. • Repair any cracks, holes and blemishes with NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07). • Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Aurora Filler (ef00) or NEO Repair Paste (nrp07). • Allow to dry. • After drying over night, all primed areas and previously painted areas must be undercoated with NEO Universal Undercoat (wu00) for all surfaces. • Apply two coats of NEO Dur High Gloss. Existing PVA and Eggshell paint • Apply NEO Dur High Gloss directly onto existing PVA and Eggshell paint surfaces. • No preparation is required. Existing high gloss paint • Sand existing gloss finish until reasonably matt. • Remove all dust with a moist cloth. • With brush, mohair roller or airless spray, apply a generous coat of NEO Dur High Gloss. • Allow to dry 18-24 hours before recoating. • Apply a second generous coat of NEO Dur High Gloss. |
• Soft Board, Gypsum Board, Wood fibre Boards, Wall Partitioning, Solid Wood, Hard Board | • Make sure substrate is free of dust and clean. • Sand if rough. • For interior use, apply one coat of NEO Universal Undercoat (wu00). • For exterior use and on untreated wood, apply one coat of NEO Pink Primer (pi00). • Repair any damages with NEO Repair Paste (nrp07). • Apply one coat of NEO Bonding Liquid (ig00) to cover NEO Repair Paste (nrp07). • Sand well and remove dust. • With brush, mohair roller or airless spray, apply a generous coat of NEO Dur High Gloss. • Allow to dry 18-24 hours before recoating. • Apply a second generous coat of NEO Dur High Gloss. |
• Outside Wood Surfaces | • Make sure wood is clean, free of dust and smooth. • Sand if rough. • Prime wood with one coat of NEO Pink Primer (pi00). • Should the wood surface be rough after the application of the primer and undercoat, sand well to a smooth surface. • With brush, mohair roller or airless spray, apply a generous coat of NEO Dur High Gloss. • Allow to dry 18-24 hours before recoating. • Apply a second generous coat of NEO Dur High Gloss. |

• Plastered walls, wall partitioning, all types of fibre boards (soft board, gypsum board, wood fibre boards, etc.), fibre cement, wood and furniture, fittings, doors and windows.

Product Features
• Silky, nearly matt surface sheen.
• The coating dries to an exceptionally smooth finish, which becomes very hard and scratch resistant.
• Highly dirt repellent: on the smooth, silky surface dirt will not hold fast and can be removed easily.
